Google launched Google Pinyin as chinese input method in the Android Market for a long time. Yet, its only benefit the people who know the Pinyin. Chinese Handwriting input is a very useful input method for the people who are not familiar with the Pinyin. Baidu chinese handwriting input method is one of the best handwriting input method I have used.
It provides full screen and half screen writing interface to suite different requirement.
You can simply get it from the Android Market by searching “Baidu” (百度输入法 – 拼音笔画五笔手写). After installed, you have to enable the from the Setting -> Language & keyboard -> Baidu Input.
To call out the handwriting feature, Press + Hold the input field, a small pop up message box will let you select the input method. Choose the Baidu to call out the function.
Baidu Handwriting input method provides 5 type of chinese input method for you to choose.
- Pinyin (中文拼音)
- Stroke (中文笔画)
- Wubi (中文五笔)
- Full screen handwriting (全屏手写)
- Half screen handwriting (半屏手写)
Baidu chinese input method provides online word dictionary feature, you can update the word dictionary periodically.
