If you are working in few places with multiple different wifi networks setup, and some of it applying static IP, you will feel annoying on changing the “Use static IP” in Wifi Setting every time enter the different places.Unlike iPhone wifi setting. Android does not apply an individual Wifi Profile setting for each Wifi network. You have to change it manually from Auto-assign to Use static IP in order to get the network access.
I found a very useful and simple Android apps in the Android Market to solve this problem.
Wifi Static – Manages your Wi-Fi static IP configurations and even switches automatically!
Download the apps from android market by Searching “Wifi static”. Once installed you will see an icon like this in your apps list.
Simply run the Wifi Static, it will shows you the current IP address and the DNS servers setting. You can save the current setting as one of the new configuration no matter the network is DHCP or Static IP.
Repeat the setting when you need to configure another wifi network. Wifi static will switching the wifi network automatically to different the configuration respectively.
